Some deathcore can be pretty good. The main reason I don’t listen to deathcore is because of the scene associated with it. I’m a metalhead and many deathcore fans aren’t. I’ve never really seen deathcore as something that someone like me should listen to despite it’s connection to death metal. Call me smallminded, I don’t care. I don’t want to listen to the music that these kind of people like.

But I have to say, that The Faceless are more Death Metal than Deathcore or something..So, Deathcore or not, The Faceless are one of my favorite bands….they’re just great…I don’t like Despised Icon, but JFAC or Oceano are some pretty cool bands…

A lot of people say its deathcore but its actually tech deathmetal. Well, I definetly has deathcore influences, especially the first album, but the album you got is definetly death metal ; )

I thought tbdm was deathcore too at first haha, i think the only reason i took a listen was because someone said they sounded like old Death. nice cds dood.
@Infidelamsterdam i always wonder if you buy/have got THAT many albums, can you listen to any album as much as youd like to? i usually never buy more than one album once and ive got maybe 20 albums at all that i would say i listened them over 200 times, im “through” with them. Ofcourse only good albums, if an album is bad you wont listen to it that often

@AnonymousSnack Just because you have a personnel issue with their music, doesn’t mean they aren’t death metal. TBDM have absolutely no deathcore sound to them. They are death metal/melo death. If you have a problem with it, get over it.
No matter what people say, The Faceless are Straight up Tech Death. Juts because they have a few breakdowns, doesn’t mean they are deathcore.

Well, not every Deathcore band or song has breakdowns and I do like breakdowns, but not those regular breakdowns. The Faceless is Technical Death Metal and Job For A Cowboy is Death Metal and has SOME Deathcore songs, but not alot. And what’s the first band from the Death Metal CD you said?
@Infidelamsterdam i think deathcore is the most ridiculous genre that bands have been tagged as. most “deathcore” bands have no core fundamentals in them whatsoever
I really would not consider The Faceless to be deathcore at all. Maybe their first album Akeldama, but Planetary Duality is definitely Technical Death Metal. Although they have breakdowns, they don’t take away from the speed of the song and only make it more heavy. They don’t use the same shitty breakdowns that deathcore bands use.
OCEANO is alright but its pretty repetitive. But I really like the song DEPTHS. You remember that SENIORBIVENS guy? I am SHURE… REALLY SHURE he was influenced by OCEANO. OH and… that guy that made that video about you been an alcoholic? Well… HAHAHA! Thats a fine whiskey collection man!
